The Brittany Anjou Trio is a New York City ensemble that features original compositions by American pianist and composer Anjou. The ensemble actively performs in New York City and abroad. The ensemble is currently performing Enamigxo Reciprokataj, a collection of original music for a thematic album series inspired by Igor Stravinsky's Petrouchka ballet. The reminiscent of this work, Anjou has titled these compositions, reminiscent of the solo piano version of Stravinsky's orchestral Petrouchka score, in Esperanto. The collection, Enamigxo Reciprokataj, translates from Esperanto to "Unrequited Love."

News:

We just released RECIPROKA! Reciproka is a sneak preview from our Enamigo Reciprokataj, our collection inspired by Stravinsky's Petrouhcka. Reciproka is a little teaser of the work we've been preparing to release. A super pleasant remix of our unreleased track "Starlight" is our homage to the piano trio greats Oscar Peterson and Red Garland. Our series features the work of drummers and bassists Ben Perowsky, Nick Anderson, Ari Folman-Cohen, and Greg Chudzik. Flowery Distress is a composition inspired by the third movement of Stravinsky's Petrouchka Ballet, Semaine Grasse. Stay tuned for our series, covering the various movements of Petrouchka.
