Hey internet-land. Recently I prepped and orchestrated some of the film score to True Bromance, a super silly documentary starring "Buzz" from Home Alone. It will be performed by a live orchestra at the Kennedy Center in DC, TBA this spring.
Lately I've been in love with a few jam sessions around town- Soul Jam Mondays and Jazz jam tuesdays at the 5th Estate in Park slope; Bar 13 hip hop freestyle mondays at midnight (now relocated to w 4th street), and Mondays @ the village underground - with Cheryl as host. I'm playing some keys and norgan at the George Harrison Birthday Tribute Saturday, February 25th, 1am at Rockwood Music Hall (2nd ave F train). We're doing lots of tunes from All Things Must Pass. Let it Down!
I've been hard at work in the studio mixing and mastering a session I engineered for punk jazz chanteuse Xenia Rubinos - albeit after being in a car accident with the entire band and videographers! The audio will be for the live music video session - stay tuned for the youtube vids of her and her band. Love. Other than that I've been working hard on a little solo project ... involving the music of Mastodon, the Deftones, Kittie, the Ocean, and beyond...Not to mention some video game music writing.
And of course, more fun sitting in at Randomonium Wednesdays at Rockwood, on 2/29, midnight of leap day! Something cool is bound to happen since Manu Delago will be playing the same stage right beforehand with Bjork's 24 all-female Icelandic choir, Graduale Nobili. Hopefully we can ask them to stay for a jam!
